TOP TIPS FOR HAVING A STRESS FREE KDF VISIT

If this is your first visit to the KDF, follow these simple rules:

1: AVOID THE QUEUE - Some visitors like enter the show as soon as the doors open, but if you are not in a rush, we recommend you aim to arrive approximately 15 minutes after opening time. This way you will avoid the long queue.

2: PLAN IN ADVANCE - Decide in advance who exhibiting you really want visit. You can download the floorplans HERE in advance to help you organise your day. Remember, you will be given a FREE catalogue which includes a fully, detailed list of all the exhibitors & easy to follow floorplans so make use of this when at the show.

3: TRAVEL LIGHT - Our cloakroom in the Lower Foyer is FREE, so leave as many bags & coats there as you can. You may return as many times as you need to drop off your purchases. At the Christmas Show, the cloakroom can get really full, so there is an overflow cloakroom near the Cafe on the 1st Floor.

4: TAKE A BREAK - We have a fantastic cafe, The Miniature Kitchen, on the 1st floor, so why not take a break & have a cup of tea & slice of cake while mulling over possible purchases.

5: ASK FOR HELP - we have a great experienced team running the event, so if you need any general help, head for the KDF Reception Desk by the Main Entrance, or for dolls house specific questions the KDF Helpdesk in the Ground Floor Lobby.

6: KEEP YOUNG VISITORS BUSY - We have 2 great activities taking place at the show for children. The KDF Golden Treasure Hunt & the Gingerbread Craft Club (2-5pm only). Both these activities are FREE to ticket holders & are a great way to keep them occupied while you are shopping. As the show is very busy, we do not allow pushchairs in the venue, but they can be left in the cloakroom.

7: PHOTOGRAPHY - Is allowed at the Festival, as long as you ask permission from the stallholders before taking pictures.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The show will be very busy, so please can you be thoughtful of others & try to be patient when stalls are busy.
