COMMEMORATING OUR 50TH SHOW
London Dollshouse Festivals, in association with Liza Antrim & Ellie de Lacy, have produced a 1:12 scale limited edition book to celebrate our 50th Show.
The London Dollshouse Festival began back in 1985 when Caroline Hamilton & Sue Atkinson wanted to organise an event for dolls house enthusiasts. A place where makers & collectors could mingle & discuss their passion. 33 years & 50 shows later the Festivals are still bringing miniacs together from all over the world.
We decided it would be rather special to create a miniature to celebrate this achievement, so we talked with Ellie de Lacy, a regular exhibitor at our show, who makes the most beautiful hand bound books & decided that she could create a miniature version of Liza Antrim's latest book "Family & Friends Dolls' Houses".
Liza will be at the Festival on December 1st with her gorgeous book featuring not only some of the treasures from her own dolls house collection, but also dolls houses owned by other collectors. Ellie's miniature version is made by hand & complete with photos & text from the original book.
We have made a limited edition of 50 (of course) books which are now available to purchase either on line, or directly from our office or, if there are any left, from the Show on December 1st. The book will cost £29.95.
